Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati is a Grant-in-Aid Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and a unit of Tata Memorial Centre (Mumbai). It is a 230 bedded hospital with state-of-the art facility for treatment of cancer. The Institute also conducts various academic courses viz. MD in Radiation Oncology, DM in Medical Oncology, M.Ch in Surgical Oncology, 2 Years PG Fellowship Programme in five disciplines of Oncology, M.Sc in Radiological Physics and many paramedical courses. Approximately 12,000 new cancer patients and 80,000 old cancer patients visit the Institute every year.
